| The multidisciplinary stage show about which the director will speak tomorrow, Thursday, together with César Oliva, is one of those selected from the 'Cultural Reactives' program of the Murcia City Council | The filmmaker, writer and multidisciplinary artist Juan Manuel Chumilla Carbajosa presents at the Romea Theater tomorrow, Thursday, November 5 (7:00 p.m.), what will be his next work, 'La palmera wounded.

It is a multidisciplinary scenic project that is part of those selected by the Murcia City Council within its 'Cultural Reactives' program, launched to support the cultural sector of the municipality and promote the creation of new initiatives.'The wounded palm tree.

Notes for a dramaturgy on Kafka's metamorphosis ' is the title of this talk-colloquium in which Chumilla Carbajosa will be accompanied by the artistic advisor of the municipal theaters of the Murcia City Council, César Oliva.During the meeting, the creator will explain how he was born and how he faces the creation of this show that integrates different languages ??(theater, cinema, music, painting ...) and that it will be a free adaptation of the famous story by Franz Kafka 'The metamorphosis' starring by the actor and musician Enrique Martínez. The talk will take place this Thursday, November 5, at 7:00 p.m., in the Hall of Mirrors of the Romea Theater.

It is a free activity that has a very small capacity and can be accessed through the invitations that are already available at the theater box office (open from Tuesday to Friday, from 11 a.m.

to 1:30 p.m.

and from 5:30 p.m.

20:30 hours).Call to conserve the landscape 'The wounded palm tree' has its origin in the plague of 'red weevil' that the palm trees of Murcia have suffered for a long time.

Inspired by Kafka's work, Chumilla Carbajosa has devised a montage starring Goyo, a man who wakes up one morning as one of these beetles that feeds on palm trees. The Murcian actor and musician Enrique Martínez, with a long career in film, theater and television, will be the only interpreter of this multidisciplinary project and will turn his mastery of the ancestral techniques of singing and vocal expression into an interpretive resource, which he has also shown in other shows. The text, the scenography, the video and the music will thus be united in this proposal that will become a metaphysical drama as well as an ecological one.

A project that aims to sensitize the public about the importance of preserving this landscape of palm groves that is, without a doubt, one of the main signs of Murcian identity and culture.'Cultural reagents' 'The wounded palm tree' is one of the scenic and musical projects selected in the 'Cultural Reactives' program of the Murcia City Council.

An initiative created to support the cultural sector of the municipality of Murcia, promoting artistic and creative production through an investment of more than 700,000 euros in direct contracting of the cultural initiatives selected in the nine lines of action.

The program, which has been recognized by Europe as an example of good practice, arose as a result of the paralysis that the cultural sector suffered due to the health crisis of COVID-19.Within the line of 'Theaters and Auditoriums of Murcia', a total of 15 projects were selected from the 179 presented.

These are original and innovative montage projects in the field of performing arts (theater, dance, circus, microtheater, performance ...) and music adapted for exhibition in the theater and auditorium circuit of the municipality of Murcia.

In this sense, 'The Wounded Palm' joins others already presented this season in theaters such as 'La divina tragedia', 'Tacto Patente' and 'Malnacido'.
