The municipal youth spaces increase their size to offer Anti-Covid programming (08/10/2020)

| The 585m2 and El Palmar centers start their programming with fifty workshops, activities and courses with strict security measures in which a thousand young people can participate | The collaboration between the Murcia City Council, through the Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, and the Local Youth Council has made it possible to develop an extensive program in the youth spaces of the municipality of courses and workshops with a wide variety of training activities, leisure and free time that, in addition to offering them learning, improves their social relationships and encourages participation."At a time as complicated as this, it is even more important that our young people have educational, recreational and recreational alternatives in their free time, which allows them to advance in healthy, healthy, responsible and safe lifestyles against the pandemic ", has indicated the councilor Rebeca Pérez.Around a thousand young people will be able to participate in the 50 courses and workshops both in person, outdoors or online in the youth centers Espacio Joven 585 and Espacio Joven El Palmar, in which activities and workshops will be offered in the open air and spaces open.In this way, the safety of young people will be guaranteed by reducing the number of participants per activity, which is set at a maximum of 10.As novelties in this new program, the use of new spaces that facilitate interpersonal distancing such as the Parque de Fofó Auditorium or the outdoor patios of the Youth Centers where Zumba, Kpop, GAP or ZumbaGym workshops will be held.The training of young people continues to be a basic pillar of the offer that these centers offer with activities such as the municipal language club, English classes for children and adults, initiation to the guitar, flamenco cajon, sign language or photography.Ballet, chess workshop, talks on healthy relationships and a multitude of activities programmed by youth associations of the municipality complement a program reformulated by the social and health situation.It should be noted that starting this quarter, registration will be completely online thanks to the remodeling of the Local Youth Council website, with a new portal that speeds up registration.
