The collaboration agreement signed with IMAS will improve the provision of the Home Help Service for Dependents (30/06/2020)

| The agreement will enter into force tomorrow and will last until March 31, 2021, with a budget of 1.4 million and 95,000 hours of service | The implementation of the collaboration agreement between the Department of Social and Family Rights of the Murcia City Council and the Murcian Institute of Social Action (IMAS) will improve the provision of the Home Help Service for Dependent People.This agreement replaces the previous one signed by both administrations in March 2019.

The new agreement will enter into force tomorrow and will remain in effect until March 31, 2021, with an economic allocation of 1.4 million.

The agreement has been approved by the Governing Board.The councilor for Social Rights, Pilar Torres, has indicated that "this agreement with the regional government will enable more comprehensive care to be provided to dependent people who receive help in their homes.

Social care is a priority for the Government Team and This agreement is part of that line of action.

"The meaning of the agreement is to provide coverage to those who need support to carry out the essential activities of daily life.

The main objective of the Home Help Service for Dependents is for users to obtain the highest possible degree of personal autonomy.Cleaning, personal hygiene and kitchenTechnicians assist users in activities related to cleaning, personal hygiene and cooking.

They also favor the movement and change of posture of the dependents.

With this they seek to enable patients to remain in their homes as long as possible, keeping in direct contact with their families.The agreement includes 95,000 hours of service provision.

The beneficiaries must have recognized a protectable degree of dependency.Carrying out support activities for dependent people that have to do with personal hygiene tasks, mobility assistance and support to get up will be carried out, generally, in the morning, between 7 am and 11 am hours.For their part, support work for bedtime and the development of evening mobility exercises will be carried out, preferably, from 6:00 p.m.Saturday afternoons, Sundays and holidaysIn those cases in which the provision of the Home Help Service is appropriate on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and the rest of the festive days, the technicians will go to the home of the dependent person to cover their personal tasks.The provision of the service during these days will be reserved exclusively for people who have a recognized degree 2 or 3 of dependency and who do not have any possibility of receiving help or support from a family member or close person who can assist them.
