| The planned investment is 300,000 euros and the execution time will be 8 months | The Governing Board has approved the project and specific administrative clauses for the contracting, through a simplified open procedure, of the works related to the construction of a plaza and an agrobiodiversity center in the vicinity of the Molino del Amor.The works will be developed in the hamlet of La Albatalía and will involve an investment of 300,000 euros.
The expected execution period is 8 months.The Councilor for Sustainable Development, Antonio Navarro, explained that "this action is part of the commitment to recover spaces from the garden and put them in value for the enjoyment of citizens.
The recovery of heritage is a priority for this Government Team" .This project also connects with the bet of the Murcia City Council to develop actions that improve the services that the districts have.The Department of Sustainable Development, through the Huerta Office, has designed the project to condition the environment of the Molino del Amor through the construction of a plaza and an agrobiodiversity center.
The action will give continuity to the restoration culminated in the hydraulic mill.The intervention designed by the technicians proposes the creation of two independent spaces, but which are related.
On the one hand, a public, landscaped and accessible plaza will be built that will have urban equipment.
It will connect with the end of the Paseo del Malecón and will serve as the main access to the Mill.Bridge over the Zaraiche canalOn the other hand, the agrobiodiversity center will be built, which will be made up of research gardens.
The two spaces will be joined by means of a walkway bridge that will be built to cross the Zaraiche canal, which opens to the air in the section that crosses the plot.
