Columbares distributes free bread to 10 families from Beniaján today (26/03/2020)

Given the seriousness of the situation in which we find ourselves, this crisis affects families that are in a situation of more socio-economic vulnerability with particular intensity.

The Bakery La Madrugada de Javier Moreno together with the Columbares Association, they start the initiative to donate bread from today until May 26, although it may be extended to a year.

This initiative will benefit 10 families from Beniaján.

Columbares social workers and educators who work with families in the Beniaján area, have made a selection of those who are currently in an extreme situation, taking into account the reports of social vulnerability that we have, as well as the information obtained in the latest Coordinations that are being done these last days to know the current situation.

The bread will be delivered twice a week.

The baker, taking into account the members of the family unit, will prepare the quantity of bread to cover the days necessary for the first collection and in the same way for the second collection of the week.

Families will come to the establishment on the agreed days to collect their bread.

Javier Moreno wants to raise the possibility that this initiative will be extended to the bakers' union, so an attempt will be made to carry out a network campaign.

The Columbares Association will be in constant contact with him to see the options to expand the territories and select the beneficiary families.

In principle, an attempt will be made to add areas where our entity has intervention with families.
