The El Pozo Indoor Soccer School of ADN La Paz expands its training schedules due to the increase in students (01/03/2020)

The school, which was born a few months ago within the ADN Urbano project, teaches groups from different categories from Monday to Friday at the facilities of the Narciso Yepes Pavilion and at the Nuestra Señora de la Paz school.

This project was born to respond to the requests of the residents of the neighborhood, during the participation processes held in 2018.

The El Pozo Indoor Soccer School of ADN La Paz has extended its training days due to the high participation of registered students;

More than one hundred boys and girls have already signed up since it started operating last November.

This school was the result of the participation processes framed in the DNA Urbano La Paz project carried out in 2018. It was the neighbors of the neighborhood who proposed their creation due to the love of this sport by the children.

The center began with training last November and due to the increase in students has had to expand their schedules in order to meet the demands of the little ones.

"The sport must be an activity accessible to everyone and from the session, through the council that I direct, our intention is that the practice of physical exercise is present in each of our public spaces and for all types of public, children and adults â€, highlights the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello.

The Futsal School has five categories - prebenjamines, benjamines, fry, children and cadets - and is aimed at girls and boys between 6 and 15 years old.

Training takes place at the Narciso Yepes Pavilion and at the Nuestra Señora de la Paz school.

Different schedules

The center offers this activity to different categories and schedules, from Monday to Friday.

In this way, availability is as follows:

- Narciso Yepes Pavilion: Monday to Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with training aimed at pre-Benjamin, Benjamin, juvenile, children and cadets.

-CEIP Our Lady of La Paz: Tuesday and Thursday, from 5.15 p.m. to 3.15 p.m., addressed to the Alevín and Benjamin group;

and Tuesday, from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm, for children.

An initiative for renewal and social activation

The Urban DNA is an initiative for the renovation and social activation of the neighborhoods and districts of Murcia through citizen participation.

Its objective is to enhance the identity of each population center through the development of urban and cultural activities.

Thus, together with the creation of the ElPozo Soccer School in the La Paz neighborhood, there is a film initiative to promote integration, an employment and training program, in which 85 people are currently enrolled with courses in gardening, locksmithing, cleaning and carpentry.

Likewise, urban regeneration actions are being carried out, such as the recovery of the four main meeting centers of the neighborhood, the pergolas and the rehabilitation of the La Paz palm grove.

Other improvement actions framed in the DNA Urbano La Paz project are the conditioning of the sports courts, the surroundings of the Plaza de Abastos, the creation of accessible routes and renovation of sidewalks, in addition to the development of the green areas of different spaces and Avenida Primero de Mayo.

It also highlights the painting work of Callizo and the opening of the streets that facilitate permeability and reduce insulation.
