Sting: My Songs, critically acclaimed world tour extended until 2020 (25/11/2019)

Currently touring the United States, the Sting concert, My Songs is an exuberant and dynamic show reviewing his most beloved songs, written throughout the prolific career of the 17 Grammys winner, both with The Police and alone.

Acclaimed for a "masterful performance from beginning to end," the concert "takes the audience on a musical journey through time," with "hits like" Fields of Gold, "" Shape of my Heart, "" Roxanne, "and" Demolition Man "considering it as an unforgettable show.

You can also listen to "Englishman In New York", "Every Breath You Take", "Roxanne", "Message In A Bottle" and many more, with Sting accompanied by an electric rock ensemble that includes Dominic Miller (guitar), Josh Freese (drums), Rufus Miller (guitar), Kevon Webster (keyboard), Shane Sager (harmonica) with Melissa Musique and Gene Noble (chorus).

ABOUT STING:

Sting, composer, singer, actor, author and activist born in Newcastle, England.

In 1977 he moved to London where he formed The Police with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers.

The band released five studio albums, won six GRAMMY® and two British awards, and was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

The title refers to the codes of their countries of origin, 44/876 and pays tribute to the duo's mutual love for Jamaica: Shaggy's homeland and the place where Sting wrote classics like "Every Breath You Take" by The Police.

On May 24, a new album entitled My Songs was released, with contemporary interpretations of his most famous hits, followed by a world tour with the same name.

Sting's 'My Songs' world tour is a dynamic and fun show featuring his most beloved songs that span the prolific career of the winner of 17 GRAMMY® awards with The Police and as a soloist.

The special edition of Sting's acclaimed album, My Songs, greeted the sale on November 8 and includes an extra CD with new live recordings of the My Songs World Tour.

At the same time, a digital album entitled My Songs: a live with 11 new recordings also captured along the My Songs World Tour.

Next year, Sting will head a Las Vegas residence, "My Songs," which will open at the Caesars Palace Coliseum on Friday, May 22, 2020.

The show will present a compendium of Sting songs with visual and dynamic references to some of his most iconic and inspiring videos.

He has appeared in more than 15 films, has produced A critically acclaimed A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and in 1989 he starred in The Threepenny Opera on the Broadway.

His most recent theatrical project is the musical The Last Ship, nominated by TONY, inspired by his memories of the community of shipbuilders of Wallsend, in the northeast of England, where he was born and raised.

The show, with music and lyrics by Sting, took place on Broadway in 2014/2015 and completed a critically acclaimed UK theatrical tour that ran from March to July 2018.

Subsequently, Sting acted as the foreman of the Jackie White shipyard in the production of The Last Ship at the Princess of Wales Theater, based in Toronto.

He will repeat the role for productions in Los Angeles at the Ahmanson Theater (January 14 - February 16, 2020), San Francisco at the SHN Golden Gate Theater (February 20 - March 22, 2020), Washington, DC at the National Theater (March 27 - April 5), St. Paul, MN at the Ordway Center (April 8-19), and in Detroit, MI at the Detroit Opera House (April 22-26).

Sting's support for human rights organizations such as Rainforest Fund, Amnesty International and Live Aid reflects its art in its universal reach.

Together with his wife Trudie Styler, Sting founded the Rainforest Fund in 1989 to protect both the world's tropical forests and the indigenous people living there.

Together they have held 18 charity concerts to raise funds and raise awareness about the endangered resources of our planet, and the next concert will take place on December 9 at the iconic Beacon Theater in New York City.
