The Plaza Antonete Gálvez de Torreagüera will be completely remodeled.
The works contemplate both the renovation of the pavement and the gardening and urban furniture, turning it into a diaphanous square, wide and with a pleasant aesthetic where neighbors can enjoy events, such as their festivities.
The square will be divided into two heights separated by an ornamental source of reinforced concrete and a stainless steel railing.
Both surfaces will be accessible for people with reduced mobility through a ramp
In this way gardening will be combined with concrete structures and tropical wood and around the large woodland a reinforced concrete wall illuminated with low consumption lights will be executed.
Thus, the paving of the square will be of cobblestone aged in different colors, maintaining the current access to the square replacing the pavement of the ramp with paving stone and enabling access to both surfaces.
The square will be completely pedestrian leaving a space reserved for the parking of vehicles that will be paved with concrete.
The materials for the execution of all urban furniture will be concrete, tropical wood and stainless steel.
With the same design concrete planters will be executed
As for gardening, the existing woodland will be respected given that it provides the square with shade and freshness in the area.
Prunus Pissardii (purple leaf plum) will be planted in the new planters and Gazania Hybrida upholstery will be planted in the upper part of the square to color the square.
On the access ramp, a planting of Phitosporum Tobira (orange blossom from China) will be carried out to give it the desired shape.
A noticeable improvement in street lighting will occur with the renovation of existing luminaires.
These will be replaced by modern luminaires which will be fully integrated into the square.
In addition, spotlights have been proposed to illuminate the two large trees and strips of low-consumption LED lights along the bank and ornamental fountain.
The deadline for the execution of the works, which will be carried out by Desarrollos Técnicos del Levante, is four months and the budget is 176,104 euros.
This project is part of the Extraordinary Plan of Investments in Pedanías that coordinates the Department of Pedanías and Barrios.
