The University of Murcia has paid tribute to retired professor Maruja Fontes Bastos, a specialist in Labor Law.
From now on, a seminar of the Faculty of Labor Sciences will bear his name.
The act of discovering the plaque has been attended by the rector, José Luján;
and the dean of the center, Prudencio Riquelme;
who have highlighted the enormous importance that Professor Fontes has had in the development of the Faculty.
Maruja Fontes Bastos was already part of the faculty staff when social work studies depended on the Ministry and were taught in what was called the Social School.
She experienced the successive transformations of these studies until she became a faculty of the University of Murcia.
During the tribute it has been emphasized that she was always a very dear teacher and admired by her students and a passionate labor law;
In addition to a woman very involved in social projects.
