"Parks, Music and Action" proposes endless activities for this National Holiday Day weekend (11/10/2019)

The green areas around the Prince of Asturias Pavilion today host sevillanas dances and flamenco rumba.

The parks and gardens of Murcia are full of life again this weekend, which is celebrated on National Holiday Day, with the program of 'Parks, Music and Action' activities of the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, directed by José Guillén.

The mayor encourages Murcia to participate in the "more than 350 outdoor workshops, Monday through Sunday, make up this initiative to be held in more than 50 parks and gardens of the municipality."

The activities continue throughout the week and to participate in them it is necessary to register.

For today, Friday, October 11

The residents of the Montepinar Urbanization (Sierra de Taibilla street) will be able to enjoy the planting of flowers and trees, recycling workshops and a workshop of Nendo Dango, which consists of the realization of clay balls with seeds.

The Plaza Dentistas Murcianos (Avenida JC1) will offer a clothing workshop, outdoor children's library and the show of 'Drilo and Lili teach you how to recycle'.

In the green areas and gardens surrounding the Prince of Asturias Pavilion, several sevillanas and flamenco dance workshops will be developed.

For tomorrow, Saturday, October 12

Two scenarios will be the protagonists of the 'Parks, Music and Action' activities.

On the one hand, in the José Antonio Camacho Garden of Ronda Sur, the children's library will be installed, a pinhole photography workshop will be developed and a first aid yincana for children will be held.

Finally the show of 'Drilo and Lili teach you to recycle' will take place.

At the same time, in Jardín del Malecón, the planting of flowers and trees, the construction of artisanal nest houses for birds will continue, as well as a musical aperitif will take place and stories will not be missing.

For Sunday, October 13

The day will begin with an exit from the Huerto López Ferrer garden, in the Museum of the City, to know the most emblematic sites of Murcia through the most beautiful gardens.

From the Centrofama Garden, the little ones will enjoy books in the nomadic library, a photography workshop and another first aid.

The gardens of the Murcia River River Walk will host a workshop of various and creative frames and techniques, another of dorodango balls and one for adults on 'Small gestures to care for the planet'.

It will also continue with the planting of flowers and trees.
