The offices of Citizen Services of Alquerías and El Raal extend their schedule for those affected by the floods (18/09/2019)

The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, has visited this morning the Citizen Attention Offices of both Alquerías and El Raal, which have expanded their schedule due to the floods produced in the area due to the DANA (Isolated Depression in High Levels) that affected the entire municipality of Murcia.

In this way, both offices will be open from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 7 pm.

There is an instance for those affected who want to receive additional information and, as there is something new regarding this issue, the City Council, from the Office of Citizen Attention, would be contacted to provide such information.

"We are aware that there are many people affected by these circumstances and from the City of Murcia we have to properly attend to the citizen, hence we have decided to extend this schedule," said Councilor Mercedes Bernabé.

Both offices have already started with this extended schedule since Monday afternoon.

In Alquerías they received a total of nine incidents, of which five were related to insurance and the other four signed the instance to receive information.

The office of El Raal registered that same afternoon 16 requests, of which eight were related to insurance and the rest with the request for additional information.

Visit to the Alquerías Study Room and the El Raal Library

The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, continues with the round of weekly visits to the Municipal Network of Libraries of Murcia (RMBM) and Municipal Network of Study Rooms of Murcia (RMSEM).

Thus, this morning, taking advantage of his departure to these districts affected by the DANA, he has approached the Alquerías Study Room to verify that the facilities had not suffered any damage.

This room has 70 seats for a total of 337 access cards and has a continuous operation of 24 hours.

"We offer fully adapted and safe spaces so that all students of any age can prepare their exams, oppositions or work in these rooms," says the councilor.

Likewise, Mercedes Bernabé has visited the El Raal Library to verify that the room is in perfect operation after the heavy rain episode.

This library offers 54 reading posts and has, today, a fund of almost 15,000 documents.

“This facility, which opens from Monday to Friday, from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., made a total of 1,843 home loans in 2018,†said Mercedes Bernabé.
