The energy and freshness of Funicular pop-rock tonight puts the gold brooch to 'Murcia in Summer' (29/08/2019)

'Los Jueves + Young' celebrates its last concert with the music of Funicular, next to the Cathedral.

Attendees can taste a natural lemon slush, served with glasses and cardboard straws, promoting sustainability.

Today ends the program 'Murcia in summer', which has meant a deployment of more than 100 artistic, musical and sports activities during July and August.

Tonight, at 10 pm, the Plaza de La Cruz, next to the Cathedral, hosts the last concert of 'Los Jueves + Young', by the Murcian group of funicular pop-rock.

During the performance, free of charge, the public can enjoy a tasting of natural lemon slush, which will be served with glasses and cardboard straws, in order to promote sustainability and care for the environment.

Funicular is a Murcian band that was born in 2018, thanks to the effort of four young people who wanted to capture their moods, demands and thoughts through music.

Vetusta Morla, Los Planetas, Izal, Love of Lesbian, The Killers and White Lies are some of the influences that this group drinks, consisting of a bass player, a lead guitarist, a drummer and a singer, who also plays the guitar;

musicians who this year have participated in the semi-finals of CreaMurcia, in the Pop-Rock category.

Music in every corner of Murcia

In the cycle 'Thursday + Youth', included in the program 'Murcia in summer', 8 finalist bands from CreaMurcia have participated, which have performed during the months of July and August in different squares of the city, filling with music every day. corners of Murcia.

Under the program 'Murcia in summer, driven by the Department of Culture and Heritage Recovery, Sustainable Mobility and Youth, and Sports and Health, the city has celebrated more than 100 artistic, musical and sports activities during the months of July and August, between guided tours, concerts, workshops, sporting events, cinema and exhibitions.
