The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, met today with the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, to address the main issues of interest of the municipality and "work in a coordinated way for Murcia to continue moving forward over the next four years," according to highlighted the spokeswoman for the regional executive, Ana Martínez Vidal.
"This is the first meeting of an intense round of contacts that President López Miras will have with the mayors of the 45 municipalities of the Region to know firsthand what their needs are in the face of this legislature that we have just begun," said the spokeswoman for the regional Executive, who explained that "we will work hand in hand with the municipalities and each and every one of the people of this Region."
In the specific case of Murcia, "infrastructure is essential for the municipality to continue growing and improving its communications," Martínez Vidal said.
In this regard, he stressed that "the priorities are the arrival of the High Speed underground to the city, the construction of the North Arch and the third lane of the A-7, as well as the completion of the Zeneta-Santomera highway."
"These are actions for which the commitment of the Government of Spain is also necessary, which continues to relegate the affairs of the Region of Murcia and thus condemn our development," said the spokeswoman for the regional Executive.
