The Malecon Garden is decorated for the September Fair (23/08/2019)

The City Council reviews the space thoroughly with the conditioning of the green areas and the checking of urban furniture, cleaning of fountains and maintenance of games.

"The Garden of the Malecon is a unique environment for the enjoyment of Murcia and must show all its beauty during these days of greater traffic," said the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén.

"We are adorning the city for our neighbors and for all those who come to enjoy our parties," highlights the Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesus Pacheco.

The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, and the Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, have visited today the tasks that are being carried out for the development of the Garden of the Malecon facing the September Fair.

Among the tasks that technicians are doing, the most important are the planting of flowers, review of woodland security, cleaning of screeners and conditioning of street furniture and children's games, cleaning of scuppers and endotherapy, pruning and irrigation tasks.

“We reviewed this space thoroughly so that it is in perfect condition for after the summer and on the occasion of our September holidays.

The Garden of the Malecon is a unique environment for the enjoyment of Murcia and must show all its beauty during these days of greater traffic, â€said Councilor José Guillén.

This set-up also includes the conditioning of benches and playgrounds, flushing and removal of holes in the pool, replacement of slabs and pavers, fencing maintenance, removal of graffiti on walls, disinfection and cleaning of the fountain pit.

“We are decorating the city for our neighbors and for all those who come to enjoy our parties.

Today we have come to see the works in this garden, but we must also highlight the River Walk that will acquire a great prominence during these days â€, highlights the Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery.
