The history of Spanish Olympism has been reflected in the book 'The Olympism in Spain', in which UCAM has participated, with a chapter written in co-authorship by Alejandro Leiva Arcas and Antonio Sánchez Pato, deputy director and dean of the Faculty of Sports, entitled 'Analysis of the results of Spain in the Summer Olympics'.

Promoted by the Barcelona Olympic Foundation, the book features the prologues of Alejandro Blanco, president of the COE, and Juan Antonio Samaranch Salisachs, vice president of the IOC.

Six of the nearly thirty Olympic Study Centers in Spain have participated in the work, among which is the UCAM.

"We have focused on the analysis of the results of Spain in its participation in the Summer Olympic Games," said Antonio Sánchez Pato, dean of the Faculty of Sports and director of the Center for Olympic Studies at UCAM.

This publication represents a further step in the research and dissemination work that the University's Center for Olympic Studies is carrying out in recent times, driven by the publication of scientific articles, master's thesis and doctoral theses on Olympism.

This places the CEO-UCAM as one of the most active centers in Spain, work that has been recognized by the Royal Spanish Olympic Academy and the International Olympic Committee.
