A total of 587 people will be part of the municipal boards, bodies that directly manage more than 13 million euros for maintenance work, as well as cultural and leisure activities.

The City of Murcia has the largest decentralization of municipal boards throughout Spain.
A total of 67 managing bodies begin to be established this Monday and Tuesday through the Department of Pedanías y Barrios, which is directed by Marco Antonio Fernández Esteban.
In this way, 587 people will be part of the municipal boards of these bodies whose main functions are the maintenance, conservation, repair and replacement of municipal infrastructure and buildings.
Likewise, they have the powers of promotion and dissemination of sports, social and cultural activities, as well as serve as transmitters of information between the town hall and the neighbors.
After the last municipal elections, of the 67 meetings in total, 20 have an absolute majority of the Popular Party, eight of the PSOE and one of Citizens.
The remaining 38 depend on the pacts and negotiations reached throughout these days and according to the distribution of the election results.
The constitution process begins today with the boards of Puebla de Soto, Corvera, Barqueros and Cobatillas, acts chaired by government councilors and the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta.
During the act the new presidents of boards are appointed for the next four years.
"We have started with a first group of those with an absolute majority," said Councilman Marco Antonio Fernández.

This whole process will take place until September.
