The Catholic University San Antonio de Murcia and Abala Infraestructuras, a company dedicated to the construction of building and civil works projects, have reached a collaboration agreement for the creation of the Chair of Sustainable Architecture and Construction, which will be launched next month of September.
Through the signing of this agreement, the University encourages research and innovation to develop more sustainable constructions in the future.
"The objectives of the Chair are to investigate in several fields such as water saving in the building and in those technologies that can help us make a more sustainable type of construction," explained Francisco Sánchez Medrano, director of the Chair and deputy director of the Degree in Architecture from UCAM.
On the other hand, Manuel Martínez Ortuño, administrator and president of Abala Infraestructuras, stressed that this union with the Catholic of Murcia will allow new technologies and innovate in the field of building to achieve construction thinking in the future.
