The Governing Board approves housing rent subsidies for families in a vulnerable situation (12/07/2019)

The deadline to request the grants will be one month from its publication in the BORM.

In the case of an economic tie, large families, single parents, affected by foreclosure proceedings, disabled and victims of gender violence and terrorism will have preference.

The Department of the Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation calls for these financial aids, through the Housing service, for families with limited economic resources and in a situation of special vulnerability with the aim of facilitating their access to a home and / or ensuring permanence in the environment in which they reside.

The aid can be requested within one month of its publication in the BORM.

The budget for this year will be 470.00 euros and a maximum amount per family unit of 2,632 euros.

The subsidies are intended to finance part of the rent payment, provided that the provisions of the Municipal Ordinance on Economic Benefits in Housing Matters are met, among which requirements include:

- The aid will be granted under competitive competition, prioritizing the lowest economic income.

- The family must reside in the municipality of Murcia at least two years before the grant application date.

- Do not have debts with public administrations

- You must accredit a weighted annual income between 0.5 and 2.5 times the IPREM.

- The house must be located in the municipality of Murcia

- The maximum amount of the monthly rental of the house will be € 500.

In the event of an economic tie, the Municipal Ordinance contemplates as preferential groups large families, disabled persons with a degree of more than 65% or dependency in grade III, victims of terrorism, single-parent families, with victims of violence of gender or affected by foreclosure proceedings, among others.

In the coming days there will be informative talks about the granting of these grants in the Housing service -located in the municipal building of Abenarabi- which interested persons can attend by arranging a prior appointment through telephone 968 358600 (ext. 57061).

Once the call for proposals has been opened, the information will be available on the municipal website www.murcia.es, as well as at the social service centers and at the municipal information offices.

The applications finally approved will be published on the municipal website and on the bulletin board of the City of Murcia.
