The unions SIME, CCOO, SOMOS, CSIF and UGT with representation in the City of Murcia, denounce that the lack of personnel is causing not even the minimum services are covered, especially those provided in the district barracks, while that in the city some services accumulate waiting hours due to personal lack.

After the Local Police Corps of Murcia has suffered the loss of 200 agents on its staff, and with the reality that the incorporation of the insufficient 46 new troops will not be produced before the summer of 2020, it has caused an overload of unsustainable work as well as the normalization of unacceptable situations in the minimum services, while on the other hand services are maintained that could be completely dispensable, so an urgent and open dialogue is necessary, with contributions and solutions with social agents, about the precarious and alarming current situation of the Murcia Police.

Faced with this situation, the Government Team approved an extraordinary bag of hours without having previously had a dialogue or negotiation with the social agents, which would allow addressing the problem, the needs and possible solutions on the reinforcements in specific days and services, with the objective of solving the serious problem as well as of reconciling the work and family life of the policemen.

The delay of the dialogue with the City Hall with the social partners is causing a worsening of the problem that is increasing every day that passes and that will take us to the September celebrations to an unsustainable situation, since practically the entire staff has been opposed to overtime as the only solution to the serious problem in the police.

That after the meeting this past Wednesday with the Chief Inspector of the Police, in which the unsustainable situation has been transferred from which the media began to echo about the situation of the provision of the minimum services and the risk that were being assumed by the agents, the verbal

Social agents hope that the next established meetings can reach an understanding that allows to address and solve the serious problems that the Local Police Corps goes through.
