Table tennis stars in the morning at La Nave with the I Memorial 'Ricardo Morejón' (05/07/2019)

The Juvenile Space La Nave de Puente Tocinos will host tomorrow Saturday the tribute to Ricardo Morejón De Girón in an event in which table tennis will be the main protagonist.

Starting at 11 am, the 1st Ricardo Morejón 'More' Table Tennis Memorial will be held, with different activities such as one that will face players of the regional Table Tennis against the National team of the said sports discipline, the screening of an audiovisual and the table tennis tournament 'El Jamón de Morejón', with the participation of federated players from all the Region of Murcia whose winners will be rewarded with a ham.

Morejón, born in the neighborhood of Vistabella and who died last year, was a very active, participative and socially committed person.

He was a promoter member of the Festival of Moors and Christians in Murcia and a member of the Association of Diabetics of the Region of Murcia.

Since he was young he dedicated himself to table tennis in the Region of Murcia, practically in all its aspects, as a player, coach, referee and manager.

Linked since its birth to the Table Tennis Federation of the Region of Murcia and joined the young space La Nave, as a founding member of the Table Tennis Association ATM La Nave, where he also developed a fundamental role in the promotion of this sport , as head of the Table Tennis School of the center, where dozens of young people start practicing table tennis every year.

This event is promoted by the Murcia Tennis Federation, with the collaboration of La Nave Center, the Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth and ATM LA NAVE club.
