This Saturday we had the opportunity to enjoy with a nighttime appointment that would tour the fortresses of Ibn Mardanís, better known as the 'El Rey Lobo', the independent emir of Mursiyya -the current Murcia-, who led his lands in the 12th century.
A border between the Christian and Arab kingdoms, through which the I Rey Rey Epic Mountain Trail ran, making known our natural and historical spaces and raising awareness among its participants in its knowledge and protection.
The event gave the opportunity to participate in different modalities, Rey Lobo Epic Trail, over a distance of approximately 21km., As well as Rey Lobo Experience, with a distance of 14km., In both cases with departure from Monteagudo Castle.
Regarding that race reigns, the fastest in completing the distance would be the athlete of the Murcia Trail Francisco Alfonso Nicolás, 1st Veteran A with a time of 1: 30: 4, followed by the 2nd in that category Daniel Rodríguez , of the Mobel Automenor Running Team, stopping the clock in 1:32:44.
3rd in the finish line and 1st Senior finished Carlos Navarro, from La Sima Trail Running, finishing in 1:39:35.
In the feminine section the victory corresponded to the athlete of the Blade Runners Calasparra Mª Victoria Soler, 1st Veteran A culminating in 1:51:38, ahead of the 1st Senior Marta Sánchez, from the Valle de Ricote - Kampamento Base, in 2:12 : 07, as well as Estefanía Navarro, Navarro-Arévalo, 2nd Senior at 2:15:22.
As for Rey Lobo Experience, the men's victory was for Murcia Challenge athlete José Miguel Moreno, 1st Veteran A (1:03:44), followed by his teammate Álvaro Caballero, 1st Senior (1: 04:05) and of the 2nd Senior Pablo Alarcón, from the CT Murcia Unidata (1:04:58).
In females won the Grasshopper athlete Noemí Rodríguez, 1st Senior (1:29:55), ahead of Natalia Frutos, 2nd Senior (1:30:50) and the 1st Veteran A Mª Carmen Andreu, of EMA Rojales (1 : 32: 30).
