The City Council and 14 social and business associations come together on a common front to create employment (26/12/2018)

The City of Murcia and 14 business and social associations have today strengthened their partnership in the pursuit of a common goal: the creation of employment in the municipality and facilitate employment.

In total, the municipal subsidies amount to 284,514 euros.

The signing has been made with a total of 14 associations "whose names are inextricably linked to the city of Murcia," said Mayor Jose Ballesta, who said that "the creation of jobs and the employment of unemployed people is a goal priority and this agreement offers an open model, dynamic and full of plasticity, which takes every opportunity through entrepreneurship and self-employment, but also promoting the activity of people with disabilities, immigrants, ex-prisoners or at risk of exclusion.

Eight of these agreements are limited to the area of ​​employment.

Thus, representatives of the Red Cross, Aspaym, Cepaim, Action Against Hunger, Famdif, Radio Ecca, Collective Parenthesis and Ucomur have signed.

Also, six other agreements are aimed at economic promotion and business and, in this case, have been initialed with AJE, Amusal, ATA, Murcia a Scene, Asepio and Red Cross.

The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesus Pacheco has emphasized 'the commitment made by the City Council to work in the promotion of the economy and the creation of jobs because having employment is the best and most effective social policy that can exist. '

The main avenues for collaboration are shown by these agreements, 'in which we pay special attention to training and advisory actions', he explained.

In this sense, Pacheco referred to two lines of action promoted by the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, which consist of 'providing the tools, that is, knowledge and skills to encourage people to access the labor market , both on an employee basis and through self-employment and entrepreneurship, and support so that those who have a good business idea find the right path to make it a reality and consolidate it. '

The 14 agreements signed today are:

Convention-Grant with Red Cross

The purpose of the agreement is to establish the bases of collaboration in order to carry out various alliances that promote the improvement of the employability of people at risk of social exclusion to facilitate their access to employment, through two projects: Itineraries with active people in difficulty and Bridges to Employment: Itineraries for Equality.

The City Council grants a subsidy of 20,546 euros and authorizes the use of adequate spaces.

Agreement with the Association of Paraplegics and Large Physically Handicapped in the Region of Murcia (ASPAYM)

Its objective is to help the training of workers and jobseekers and the development of new business projects through self-employment or the creation of companies of people with great disability.

The social and labor insertion of people affected by some type of spinal cord injury or great disability is promoted, as well as improving their level of education.

The City Council will collaborate by providing advice and participating in the formulation of strategies, and of how many initiatives specify the common effort aimed at the promotion and socio-economic development of the municipality mainly in the field that concerns people with great disability.

Likewise, the transfer of premises and a municipal financial contribution of € 6,000 is considered.

Agreement with the CEPAIM Foundation, Integral Action with Migrants

The objective is to implement as many actions as necessary to promote and facilitate new strategies and methodologies for generating employment, as well as the processes of social and labor integration of groups in situations of unemployment and / or at risk of poverty and social exclusion.

The agreement provides for the development of information, advice and training measures aimed at improving the professional qualifications of those workers who wish to retrain or improve their jobs;

promote entrepreneurial culture in primary and secondary schools;

promote self-employment and business initiatives of the social economy and support the realization of studies and research related to the identification of new labor niches.

Likewise, the collaboration will allow the development of the potential to generate employability processes linked to culture and art, promoted by the Cepaim Foundation Station from the Community Center.

In addition to the cession of spaces, the City Council subsidizes the Cepaim-Murcia Foundation, with € 15,000.

Agreement with the Action Against Hunger Foundation

The object of the agreement consists in the development of the 'Vives Emplea' and 'Vives Emprende' projects, whose objective is to improve the employability of people at risk of social-labor exclusion, to facilitate their access to employment and self-employment and the creation of companies through the promotion of the entrepreneurial spirit.

The City Council's economic contribution amounts to € 35,968.

Agreement with the Federation of Murcia Associations with Physical and / or Organic Disability FAMDIF / COCEMFE-Murcia

Its objective is collaboration to facilitate actions aimed at promoting the labor insertion of people with physical and / or organic disabilities, through the organization of forums, workshops or seminars, in addition to providing information on contractual measures and existing incentives for people with disabilities in the labor market and adaptations of jobs if necessary.

For its part, the City of Murcia will promote appropriate mechanisms to facilitate the completion of professional practices in municipal centers and provide a grant of € 6,000.

Agreement with the Radio ECCA Foundation

Aimed at facilitating actions that promote the social and labor insertion of people with a need to improve their level of education.

The City Council is committed to coordinate with Radio ECCA the provision of a job orientation and self-employment service for young people, especially immigrants, while the Foundation, for its part, among other actions, will seek cultural promotion and the enhancement of human formation of the people with whom he works, as well as the implementation of a personalized socio-labor insertion itinerary.

Agreement with the Collective Association Parenthesis

New line of work aimed at promoting the improvement of training and employability of people deprived of their liberty, without prejudice to the fact that this action can be extended to other groups at risk of social exclusion.

The City Council's commitment is to facilitate the use of facilities to develop training actions.

It is estimated that some 50 people who would participate in training actions for employment directly benefit from the signing of this agreement.

Agreement with the Union of Cooperatives of Associated Work (UCOMUR)

Aimed at the creation, promotion and development of companies, the City Council provides a grant of € 35,000, while among the commitments assumed by Ucomur is to provide advice to the local administration in economic and business matters for the development of employment programs and promote its associates labor practices and hiring unemployed who have gone through the employment programs of the City Council.

For its part, the six agreements reached within the line of collaboration of the economic promotion and company are the following:

Agreement with the Association of Young Entrepreneurs

Its purpose is to promote, promote and disseminate the entrepreneurial culture among young people, developing information, advice and training measures aimed at the creation of companies, in addition to executing actions for the consolidation and growth of existing businesses.

AJE is committed to continue providing assistance to entrepreneurs of the CIMM.

The City Council's financial contribution amounts to 5,000 euros.

Agreement with Amusal

It pursues the development of the project Entrepreneurship and Activation of Employment and promote actions to improve the employability of people with difficulties of access and permanence in the labor market through entrepreneurship and significantly improve the planning and management capacity of small and very small Business.

The subsidy granted by the City Council amounts to 30,000 euros.

Agreement with the Association of Self-Employed Workers

With an economic aid of 21,000 euros, the main purpose of the agreement is to support the actions promoted by ATA for the creation, promotion and development of companies through self-employment.

Also, between the areas of collaboration is the plan of succession of companies and generational change and the plan to attract investments and new companies for the municipality of Murcia.

Agreement with Murcia a Scene

The agreement is aimed at the program of support and consolidation of performing arts companies in the municipality, providing tools, skills and knowledge necessary to strengthen and consolidate the companies in the sector, and encourage their development and growth.

The municipal aid consigned amounts to 20,000 euros.

Agreement with the Business Association of the West Murcia Business Park (ASEPIO)

The purpose of the collaboration is to develop the strategic plan for surveillance and maintenance of the polygon and to implement actions that facilitate the economic promotion of the municipality.

The financial contribution of the City is 60,000 euros.

Agreement with the Spanish Red Cross of the Region of Murcia

The agreement affects the business consolidation project for entrepreneurs whose objective is to improve the employability of people at risk of social and labor exclusion to facilitate their access to employment and self-employment, as well as the creation of companies through the promotion of an entrepreneurial spirit.

The economic endowment provided by the City Council amounts to 30,000 euros.
