The Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, and the Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, responsible for the area of ​​Youth, Rebeca Pérez, along with the programmer and responsible for Silbato Productions, Rafael Gómez-Vizcaíno, and the director general of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts, Marta López-Briones, presented this morning the XII edition of Microsonidos, which this year almost doubles the number of nights of concerts until reaching 59, in which more than 80 bands will perform in 7 rooms.
The cycle, which has been consolidated as a relevant festival, will be held in Murcia from January 19 to April 13, sponsored by Estrella de Levante, highlighting the most representative pop and rock of the national scene, with the presence of international bands of absolute quality.
In this new edition, two new rooms are incorporated into the circuit, the Miguel Ángel Clares, the Víctor Villegas Auditorium, and the Roots Room, in addition to Sala Spectrum (former12 & Middle), Rem Room, Musik, Beat Garage and The Smell .
Jesús Pacheco has highlighted the "unconditional support that Microsonidos lends year after year to the groups in the region, which are increasingly taking a leading role in programming."
In this sense, the head of Youth of the City Council, Rebeca Perez, has emphasized 'the excellent musical moment that the bands of the municipality live thanks, to a certain extent, to the bet that we made from public institutions, with contests such as Creamurcia, and the cultural promoters, and, above all, the excellent level they hold '.
Microsonidos, in addition, becomes 'a magnificent platform for the groups that begin to consolidate and grow in their artistic side', he added, and made express mention of the Creamurcia bands that will have their space in this edition of Microsonidos: Komorebi, Pájara Rey, Elure, La Pelouse, Alex Juárez, Impulses Atientas, Decimbird and New Wais.
As a novelty, a presentation party has been scheduled to take place on December 29 in the Sala Rem, where Garaje Florida will present its new album, and Los Marañones, taking advantage of the 25th anniversary of its release, will play one of their albums. most demanded and revered by critics and public: 'I want to dance agarrao'.
This edition will have the participation of some of the best groups in the current national scene, such as Rufus T, Firefly, Cooper, Arizona Baby, Soledad Vélez, Vinila Von Bismark, La Plata, Fernando Alfaro & Antonio Arias, Pony Bravo or Carmen Boza.
International representation will come from Mica P. Hinson, Fastaball, Eagle-Eye Cherry and John Paul Keith.
There will also be new baking groups such as Compro Oro, Marcelo Criminal, Northagirres ... and others in the process of consolidating, such as Pájaro, Trajano, Veintiuno or Fizzy Soup.
Since Microsonidos is a festival with a small capacity in most of its formats, there is still a bet on acoustic concerts, even smaller ones, which will be held especially at the Pub La Yesería, where the most "unique" performances by Luis Brea, Pigmy will take place. and Fino Oyonarte, among others.
