The University of Murcia and the TSJ sign an agreement to collaborate in research and knowledge transfer in CSR (26/12/2018)

The University of Murcia (UMU) and the Superior Court of Justice of the Region of Murcia (TSJ) have signed an agreement that will allow the opening of lines of research and collaboration between both institutions, aimed at the transfer of knowledge from the UMU to the TSJ for the application and development of actions within the strategic agenda 2016/2020 of the Supreme Court of the Region of Murcia.

José Luján, rector of the UMU, and Miguel Pasqual del Riquelme, president of the TSJ, have signed this agreement in an act that took place in the Convalecencia.

María Dolores Abellán, responsible for the area of ​​corporate social responsibility (CSR) of the Chair of CSR at the University of Murcia, explained that thanks to this agreement will be transferred to the TSJ research methodology in social sciences so that the Superior Court can make use of of her in her concrete actions of CSR.

Abellán has highlighted the fact that the Supreme Court is considered a success case in accountability among public administrations.

This methodology that will transfer the University of Murcia will allow, among other things, that the TSJ can meet expectations of users, workers and citizens in general and thus have a tool to make concrete decisions regarding transparency, participation and accountability.

The president of the TSJ has valued the opportunity that means "being able to access the knowledge quarry that is the University of Murcia" with the aim of being more effective in the rendering of accounts to society, something in which the TSJ has been working for years , has highlighted.

For his part, the rector of the University of Murcia has shown his satisfaction to verify that "with this agreement we fulfill one of the mandates that we have as a university, which is the transfer of knowledge that we generate".

Luján has also assured that he feels very satisfied "because I am comforted as a citizen by the initiative of the TSJ in continuing to advance as an administration in transparency, participation and accountability".
