The new buhobús of Murcia is launched from tomorrow to serve 49,000 users (20/12/2018)

Line 26B is also created to connect San José de la Montaña, El Palmar and Aljucer with Murcia and will have 14 frequencies on working days and five on Saturdays

The new night service 'Buhobús' in the city of Murcia, included in a concession of the Autonomous Community, starts tomorrow Friday, December 21, to serve 49,000 users and connect 38 districts with the city.

It is implemented thanks to the extension of six lines: 28 (Sangonera la Verde-Murcia), 30 (Zeneta-Murcia), 31 (Alquerías-Murcia), 36 (Cobatillas-Murcia), 44 (Rincón de Beniscornia-Murcia) and 91 (Sangonera la Seca).

The night service will be provided on Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of the holiday with six expeditions, three one-way and three return, which will depart at 23:30 from the districts towards Murcia and the last bus back will be at 04: 30 hours.

There will also be service on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, Patricio Valverde, and the Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today presented the new services contained in an agreement between the two institutions, which also implements the creation of line 26B to serve the districts of San José de la Montaña, El Palmar and Aljucer with Murcia, by San Ginés.

Councilor Patricio Valverde stressed that public transport "is a priority for the Government of Fernando López Miras", which conceives it as "a public service of the first order, a good of first necessity to access health and education, to move to our work and places of leisure ".

"Public transport is the most comfortable and safe way for night trips: there is no need to look for parking, we avoid traffic jams and, above all, it is the most responsible way to travel on these dates," said the regional official.

He also stressed that tomorrow the new bus line 26B comes into service in response to the demands of the neighbors and added that the frequencies and schedules have been agreed with them to provide a better service.

This bus will have 14 expeditions on working days and five on Saturdays, both on and off.

Its working day schedule starts at 07:45 and ends at 9:45 p.m., while on Saturdays it starts at 08:15 p.m. and ends at 2:15 p.m.

Bet on urban transport

These measures, he said, "are part of the Regional Government's drive to collective public transport" and recalled that this year two new services have been created.

The first gives direct connection, without stops, between Las Torres de Cotillas and Murcia and the second between Los Alcázares and Los Arcos hospital to be able to go to the hospital's outpatient clinics.

To these are added the improvements made in the line Altorreal-Murcia and the lines of the South Coast of Murcia (lines 30 and 78).

In addition, the Community maintains a firm commitment to improving communications in the municipalities of the metropolitan area of ​​Murcia, which is used by 10.9 million passengers, to guarantee service in dispersed and less populated populations so that they can access the public services of the region and the university bond.

The councilor stressed that the Community will invest 8.44 million euros in 2019 to guarantee public service and an economic rate for travelers and noted that the regional government is still working towards a new transport model in the region with the Transport Master Plan .
