The rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, signed on Wednesday an agreement with the Association of High Intellectual Capabilities of the Region of Murcia that will allow students of the institution to work as volunteers with high-school students at different educational levels.
María Cristina Sánchez López, Vice Chancellor of Students and promoter of the agreement, explained that the collaboration with the association also aims to detect students with high abilities within the university itself, since there are currently no records in which they are identified.
This detection would allow us to offer them tools to make the most of these high capacities, explained the vice-rector.
María Isabel Hernández Ruiz, president of the Talent Association-High Intellectual Capabilities Region of Murcia, thanked the University of Murcia for its interest in continuing to advance in research and detection of high-school students.
The challenge for the association, he explained, is to ensure that diagnoses and educational adaptations are maintained after Primary Education.
