Twelve looks for cleaner air in the Murcia of the 21st century (18/12/2018)

Recycle and breathe ', whose awards have been delivered today at La Glorieta.

More than 15,000 children from a total of 137 centers in the municipality of Murcia have participated this year in the drawing contest 'Murcia Ciudad Sostenible.

Breathe and recycle ', promoted by the City of Murcia, Ferrovial Services and Ecoembes, and whose awards have been delivered today on the stage of the Christmas Market of La Glorieta.

The mayor José Ballesta highlighted "the creativity and commitment of these children, as well as their ability to involve their parents and their immediate environment in a task that concerns us all, such as caring for the environment through recycling."

With the 12 winning drawings, the Murcia Sustainable City 2019 calendar is prepared, which will be distributed throughout the municipality to raise awareness among Murcians of the importance of separating and recycling correctly.

At the gala, about 350 people have been present, among the winners of the contest, their classmates and teachers.

The children have been able to enjoy a workshop of recycled instruments, where each class has developed an instrument with recycled material with which they played during Lili's Ecoelfa.

After the awards ceremony has taken place the didactic musical performance of the group Oregano.

All attendees were presented with a sheet and backpack.

Children's recycling workshop in La Glorieta

It is an activity open to all children of the municipality until January 3, since the Christmas Market of the Glorieta has a space for the Workshop of Lili, the Ecoelfa.

The activities include:

Recycling workshop: children and families will make crafts with recycled materials, with which they will create toys and Christmas decorations.

Visitors can also take a photo in the Workshop of Lili the Ecoelfa.

The path of recycling and Recycling and memory: through various fun and didactic games you will learn to know the colors of recycling and perform the selective separation in your homes for later recycling.

All the participants will receive a sheet of Eco-helper with their name and a backpack of the campaign.

The hours of the workshops will be:

From December 13 to 21 (Monday to Friday): from 5:00 p.m.

at 7:00 p.m.

Weekends and from December 22 to January 3: from 11.00h.

at 2:00 p.m.

and from 5pm.

at 7:00 p.m.
