The rector of the UMU will represent the CRUE in the conference 'The future of work' of the Economic and Social Council of Spain (10/12/2018)

The rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, will represent the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) on the day that this Tuesday, December 11, will develop the Economic and Social Council of Spain in Madrid dedicated to the transformations of the work world.

The Economic and Social Council of Spain will present on this day the report 'The future of work', act that will be in charge of Pedro C. Fernández Alén, president of the Labor Committee on Labor Relations, Employment and Social Security of the ESC of Spain .

The report focuses on the evidence and debates at the global and European level about the challenges that are emerging in the world of work, collecting diagnoses that allow formulating some proposals.

This work takes into account the profound transformations derived from the application of new technologies, and especially digital technology that "are projected in the appearance of new products and services, but also in the mutation in the ways of organizing work and production ", explains the CES.

The event will be attended by Magdalena Valerio, Minister of Labor, Migration and Social Security.

Once the report is presented, a round table will be held with the participation of Antonio Garamendi, president of CEOE and president of CEPYME;

Pepe Álvarez, general secretary of UGT;

Unai Sordo, Secretary General of CCOO and Joaquín Nieto, Director of the ILO Office for Spain.
