The first phase allowed the recovery of 638 houses, which will now be added to the 275 in 5 blocks that remained pending to complete the actions of regeneration and urban renewal in the neighborhood.
The budget approved today by the Governing Board amounts to 1.2 million euros.
Among the social clauses included is the obligation of the winning company to incorporate 30% of Los Rosales employees into their workforce and hire a 10% of staff from the group of unemployed who are especially hard to access. working market.
The action of regeneration and urban renewal of Los Rosales will be completed next autumn, after the Governing Board has approved today the award of the project that will complete the process of integral rehabilitation of all housing block, with a budget of 1,260 .257 euros and an execution period of 8 months.
This II phase of the plan will involve the recovery of 275 houses of 5 buildings that were pending fixing, once the first phase was completed, which involved the renovation of 638 homes in 24 blocks, in addition to 7 parking spaces and promenades.
The cost then amounted to more than 3.2 million, of which 1.9 were contributed by the City Council, and the rest by the Ministry of Development and the Autonomous Community.
With the action awarded today all the houses in blocks of the neighborhood have been rehabilitated and all the spaces and squares have been redeveloped, since in this second phase the improvement and adaptation of the Laurel, Acacias, Naranjos, Madroños, Moreras and Almendros squares is also included , as well as the deteriorated urbanization elements of other roads, in particular, the streets Pinos and Cipreses.
Regarding the clauses incorporated for the execution of the project, it is established as mandatory for the winning company the incorporation of at least 30% of the workforce must be unemployed and registered -at least one year before the award of the contract- in the neighborhood of Los Rosales.
There is also an additional social clause accepted by the winning company to hire a 10% of staff from the group of unemployed who are in particular difficult to access employment.
