The Socialist councilor Maite Espinosa, who has received citizen complaints about it, will take to the plenary on Thursday, the 20th, an initiative for Street Cleaning and Social Services to act urgently in the Actor Cecilio Pineda and the Formalidad squares and in their environment, in which a homeless person died in summer
It is about ending an evident problem of unhealthiness that affects the neighbors of the area and at the same time providing an adequate and dignified solution for the indigent who live and sleep on the street.
In that sense the councilor of the PSOE Maite Espinosa will take to the next Plenary Session of the City of Murcia an initiative that responds to the need to act urgently in the places Actor Cecilio Pineda and the Formality and its surrounding streets.
The neighbors complain about the appearance of this environment, which projects a very bad image of the city and is not the most advisable for children to go out and play.
This discomfort has been transferred to the Municipal Socialist Group, which will act by transferring this problem to the plenary session demanding concrete measures.
"In addition to painted on the walls, there is a lot of garbage on the street and the area has become a refuge for beggars, who make their needs on public roads or in the portals of buildings," says Espinosa, who recalls that last summer a homeless man died on this site.
Neighbors also complain that the sidewalks are damaged by the already clogged dirt, that the pots placed there are abandoned and that street lighting is scarce.
This also contributes to the fact that the concerts held on the forecourt of the Artillery Barracks on weekends give rise to large bottles in the area and this generates more dirt in the area.
"You need a shock cleaning and the performance of Social Services, you can not look the other way, you have to give the possibility of a better life to people who sleep on the street and that is why we are going to take this matter to the Plenary" , says Maite Espinosa.
