The first Solidarity Day of the Christmas Tree will gather 30 social entities and will have the Christmas Rock as a finishing touch (05/12/2018)

Next Saturday 15, the social associations and NGOs of Murcia will disseminate during their work and the values ​​that structure their daily work with workshops and activities for the whole family in La Circular.

For the first time, the Big Tree will host the Christmas Rock, the free and supportive concert that this year has a luxury poster: "Six great voices that are great exponents of young Murcian talent," said José Ballesta.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with the councilor for Social Rights and Development Cooperation, Conchita Ruiz, representatives of about thirty social entities of the municipality and bands and artists from Murcia, presented the Christmas Tree Solidarity Day today.

"This is a day that will take place throughout the next Saturday, December 15, in which the solidarity associations and NGOs of the municipality of Murcia will conquer the Christmas tree to spread their work and that will close with a flourish: the Christmas Rock, the free concert that, for the first time, is celebrated in the Great Tree of the Circular and that this year has a luxury poster with six great voices Murcia, six exponents of the young talent of our land, "said the mayor.

From 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., members of the social entities will disseminate information and offer workshops and activities to which all children and family members who wish to participate are invited to participate.

"The objective is to spread the values ​​of solidarity that structure the daily work of each of these entities, which represent the best of ourselves and are the best example of the generosity of the people of Murcia," said José Ballesta.

Specifically, the following groups will be present in the Tree: Intered, Manos Unidas, International Cooperation, Azul en Acción, Sahara yes Murcia, Karit Solidarios por la Paz, Asociación Edukaolak, Columbares Association, Fade Foundation, Sed (Solidarity, Education and Development) ), Caritas Diocesis of Cartagena, Red Cross, Unicef ​​Foundation, Solidarity Responses Association, Cepaim Foundation, Once, Assido, Fundown, Astrapace, Fepamur, Ceom, Aspanpal, Aspersomur-Fessormu, DGenes, Aspapros, Predif, Jesus Abandoned, Murcia Acoge, FAMDIF and Retimur.

On Saturday, December 15, at 8:00 p.m., the Christmas Rock Solidario de Murcia will be held, which is celebrating its eighth edition.

This concert changes its location and date this year, becoming part of the programming of the Great Christmas Tree, which in recent years presides over the town's Christmas.

For this, six Circus voices from the Region of Murcia will perform in the stage of the Circular, who will perform Christmas songs in the key of rock, soul, pop, rock, etc., along with the veteran Christmas Rock Band, formed by musicians of recognized trajectory. as José Antonio Herrera (artistic direction and guitar), Marcos Justo Romero (bass), Miguel Ángel Gómez (drums) and Joaquín Lucas García (keyboard).

The concert, in addition to putting the finishing touch to the Solidarity Day, aims to make the voices of the Region known to the citizens.

This year, the artists that make up the poster have very different nuances, with very different personalities, making the Christmas Rock a special and different event, created especially to give a unique show, which will have as master of ceremonies to Vince, winner of the discipline 'Other Trends' of CreaMurcia 2017.

Six luxury voices

Carmen la Canija, Murcian singer-songwriter (third classified in song by Creamurcia author 2018) and vocalist of the band Mono A Cero.

He began to get on stage in 2011 with the singer Cere Vera.

Chema Espejo, is for 3 decades, the personal voice that deepens its roots in Rock, blues and funk with the Raw.

The event is produced by the Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation of the City of Murcia, and coordinated and directed by Son Buenos.
