Leroy Merlin Murcia Sur celebrates its first anniversary since its arrival in the city.

During the last year, the store received 1,000,000 visits, mostly from La Albarca, El Palmar, Alcantarilla and Murcia.

Leroy Merlin is committed to the creation of quality employment, in this line, of the 102 employees of Leroy Merlin Murcia Sur, 83% have an indefinite contract.

Thus, 93.6% of the employees of Leroy Merlin Spain are shareholders of ADEO.

Since its opening, Leroy Merlin Murcia South has opted for local suppliers to offer home improvement projects to its customers, assuming an important asset for the local business fabric.

In this line, the store relies on local companies for cleaning, security, installation and transport services among others, which translated into more than 200,000 euros per year for the local economy during the past year.

The Director of the store, Raul Robles, said: "I want to thank the trust placed by the residents of Murcia, who have accompanied us since our opening last year, helping us grow and improve day by day."

Robles added: "I also want to thank our collaborators for the work and effort they make each day, making it possible to celebrate this anniversary."

In line with the Corporate Social Responsibility Framework of Leroy Merlin, the South Murcia store establishes collaboration with the Red Cross and Cáritas to carry out labor integration projects for groups at risk of social exclusion.

In addition, the store collaborates through children's workshops and Christmas donations with the Arrixaca Hospital.

It should be noted that the Spanish Red Cross recently held the III Awards Gala for Social Inclusion where Murcia Sur has been awarded, along with the other two establishments in the region, such as shops that are committed to employability and social inclusion.

In addition, Leroy Merlin Murcia South promotes the employment inclusion of people with disabilities in collaboration with social entities such as the Association for people with Down syndrome in Murcia (ASIDO) and the Association for the integration of people with intellectual disabilities (CEOM).
