The Autonomous Community has today put out to tender, in the contractor profile, the works contract to strengthen the road of the regional highway RM-F6, which connects the districts of Murcia Dolores and Los Garres, and financed with 358,000 euros.
The objective of this action, which will last four months, is to increase the road safety and the comfort of the drivers that circulate in this way thanks to the elimination of the blandones in the road.
The works will be developed along the entire route of the RM-F6 highway, with a total length of 2.5 kilometers, "a very important communication channel for the development of this population and very used to enter and leave Murcia to this area of the Region, "said the general director of Highways, Francisco José González Manzanera.
González Manzanera explained that this action "is essential to improve the state of the road, which has suffered a high deterioration due to the increase in traffic intensity and the process of construction of the bridge on the railway tracks."
In the first place, the area affected by the blandones will be operated, where the road signs will be marked and the road cut for demolition and subsequent transfer to the authorized landfill.
Then the area affected by the sinking will be excavated, the terrain will be strengthened with a limestone road and a layer of sand will be spread over the road surface to equalize it, another of gravel and the asphalt.
In the rest of the damaged areas of the road, a milling will be carried out and the road surface will be reinforced with a layer of asphalt agglomerate.
Once the road surface is finished, the road markings will be painted on side strips and the vertical signs that are in poor condition will be replaced.
