The University of Murcia, Bankia and Fundación CajaMurcia grant grants to study abroad (08/11/2018)

The Faculty of Economics and Business of the UMU, Bankia and Cajamurcia Foundation have made public the final resolution of the call for grants for students to study abroad in the Economics and Business degrees during the academic year 2018-2019 .

Of the 16 university students that have received the aid of this call, eleven will make their stay in Europe - being Great Britain the country in which more students will reside-, four in the United States and one in Argentina.

The average duration of the stays is eight months.

The beneficiary students belong to the Bachelor's degrees in ADE (General and Bilingual), Economics and Marketing and to the joint degree of Degree in Business Administration and Law.

Juan Samuel Baixauli thanked Bankia and Fundación Cajamurcia for their support to improve the internationalization of students and noted that "thanks to this program of aid, since 2005, about 180 beneficiaries have been able to complement their studies abroad. , with a total contribution of 180,000 euros in all these years ".

For his part, Pascual Martinez has indicated that, in addition to these grants, which promote the training of professionals who in the future will direct the economic activities of the Region of Murcia, "Cajamurcia Foundation works closely with the University of Murcia in the promotion of culture and research, through numerous activities and initiatives ".

Finally, the corporate director of the Territorial Bankia in Murcia and Alicante, Olga García, stressed "the commitment of the entity with training actions aimed at young people that promote the economic and social development of the Region of Murcia."
