The spokesman for Citizens, Mario Gomez, has called on the PP to act with more rigor and seriousness during the process of awarding public contracts of the City of Murcia.
In this sense, Gómez explained that "since the components of the Contracting Boards were modified there are specifications that do not reach us before they are published;
for those who reach us they give us a period (usually short) to review and present allegations, and when we have given them time to review them and we have sent allegations they have not taken them into account ".
"Other times, he said," we send the specifications with a deadline for review and then approve them in the Governing Board before the end of the period offered for the submission of allegations. "
For the spokesman of Cs, "this lack of transparency and foresight of the local government can cause that the best contractors do not come to present offers".
"For example, he continued," the urgency of a service contract - valued at 60 million euros and which we knew was going to end - with a deadline for submitting offers of 30 days is not justifiable because it means limiting the submission of offers and not guaranteeing equality of conditions ".
"In Ciudadanos we want the best companies to offer the best services to our neighbors;
and this is not achieved by making public procurement through the emergency route as the PP does ", concluded Gómez.
