More than 1,000 schoolchildren will attend the Clarinetarium family show (16/10/2018)

The Councilor for Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, Rafael Gómez, and the commercial director of CaixaBank in the Region of Murcia, Gerardo Cuartero, presented the Clarinetarium show, aimed at schoolchildren and primary school children.

The show, created and performed by the group 'Ensemble Una Cosa Rara', proposes an exciting journey through the history of music and discovers in a ludic and scientific way all the secrets of the clarinet, through a dynamic concert.

It will take place in the Auditorium La Alberca de Murcia, which hosts a cycle of 4 performances tomorrow and October 17, with two daily functions at 10:00 and 12:00.

Some 1,080 students are expected to attend the 4 scheduled performances.

"This show aims to bring the arts to children and young people, through productions especially designed for schoolchildren." Clarinetarium offers a journey through the history of music to discover how the evolution of the instrument is linked to the evolution of music. It is a practical and fun way to motivate school children to make music a means of expression "highlighted Rafael Gómez.

In addition, the Obra Social "la Caixa" offers educational materials with multidisciplinary work proposals to be carried out in the classroom before and after the representation, in order to motivate a critical representation, with well-defined pedagogical contents.

Murcia, educating city

This event is included in the educational offer of 'My city teaches'.

A project in which the students of the municipality of Murcia carry out guided tours and excursions to discover the cultural heritage and natural resources of the municipality.

Last year the participation of Murcia centers was 100% in this program.

Children and young people of the 186 educational centers of the municipality (124 of districts and 62 of the urban helmet) will have the opportunity to take the lessons that they study in the classrooms to the main monuments and places of interest of Murcia, approaching the cultural and historical richness of the municipality and its artistic and cultural heritage.

Murcia thus becomes an educating city, a didactic resource that involves both municipal spaces and public and private entities and groups, with which the City Council organizes the various activities for schoolchildren and students to complete their knowledge, know their local heritage ( historical-artistic, scientific, natural and traditional) and learn to value it.
