The PSOE criticizes that the PP leaked 66 million from the State to, among other things, adapt the schools of the municipality (10/08/2018)

The Socialist spokesperson at the City Hall, Susana Hernandez, continues to demand that it be invested in the schools of the municipality and recriminates the aptitude of the regional and local government, while launching a double question: if you renounce that departure is because there is money to undertake these actions?

And if so, why is not such a necessary investment made?

The PSOE already proposed last February and then in March the development and implementation of an Investment Plan with a budget of ten million euros to adapt schools in the municipality of Murcia to the XXI century and therefore "calls the attention now that neither the mayor Ballesta nor any of his team have come to recriminate the national and regional PP the fact that he has rejected this other economic item, which could have been made to meet basic needs that must be covered ", according to indicates Hernández.

The socialist mayor asks that "action be taken to adapt the educational centers and thus offer a public education in conditions."

A few months ago, Hernandez said that "if the PSOE was able to allocate almost 16 million in the budgets of last year for necessary investments in districts, the Ballesta government should be able, if it is willing, to budget ten million for schools public of our municipality cease to be anchored in the last century.

The spokeswoman urged the mayor to develop the aforementioned plan necessary to alleviate deficiencies detected in public schools in Murcia and have to do, among other issues, with the lack of space, the absence of shaded areas, obsolete and insufficient electrical installations that they make the students subject to very high temperatures and the presence of asbestos on the rooftops that must be removed immediately.

This Extraordinary Plan of Investments for the public schools of the municipality is one of the main bets of the Socialist Group, which has presented many motions to the Plenary in that sense, which has been demanding years more investment in the conditioning and maintenance of these centers and now regrets to see spend a significant amount of money, part of which would have remained in the neighborhoods and districts of Murcia.
