The agreement approved today affects properties that are taxed in the land registry.
The Governing Board has approved today, the proposal of the Department of Finance, Recruitment and Urban Mobility, directed by Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, to establish 0.8 as a coefficient to apply to properties of a rustic nature in the IBI census as of next year.
This is one of the measures that the City Council must adopt - it will also have to submit to the agreement of the Plenary to be held next week - as a result of the revision of the cadastral values carried out by the General Directorate of Cadastre, under the Ministry of Finance, to place the values of real estate at around 50% of the market price.
The previous paper dates back 16 years.
The municipalities have the power to establish between a coefficient between 0.5 and 1. The proposal of Martinez-Oliva is 0.8, with the aim of containing the consequences on the installments to be paid in the IBI by the holders.
This modification affects the currently existing buildings on rustic land that were taxed as urban and that, from this new presentation, go to pay tribute in the rustic register.
