José Ramón Lidó Rico, plastic artist from Yecla (Murcia), participates in the 11th Neuroscience Forum, the most important European meeting about this science, held at the 'CityCube Berlin' conference center from July 7 to 11. 2018. In the forum the latest findings of the experimental avant-garde are shown through conferences of internationally renowned scientists, round tables and individualized presentations.
The center will present the latest work of Murcia, framed within the project 'Genoarquitecturas'.
The exhibition stands out for connecting art and science, using real human brains as diverse biological material, to deepen with a critical look the behavior of human beings.
Also, the sculptor has collaborated for four years with José Luis Ferran, neurobiologist at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Murcia, and Kuei Y. Tseng, neurophysiologist at the School of Medicine at the University of Illinois (Chicago).
In particular, the Dutch researcher Memo Witter, a collaborator of two Nobel Prizes and member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of European Neurosciences Societies, has been in charge of transmitting to Rico the interest in exhibiting his project during the days of the congress, where expected the assistance of more than 20,000 professionals in the sector.
