The City of Murcia today approved the start of the procedure for obtaining the Castillejo and the Larache Pool, better known as "el Hondón", the only construction of the privately owned complex, since the Monteagudo Castle belongs to the State and the Larache to the Autonomous Community.
The Plenary session unanimously gave the green light to the file of direct occupation, that is, reserving the urban development to its owners in the corresponding areas of management and, in case they did not want, it would be effected by expropriation.
The property has an area of ​​35,000 square meters and consists of 18 plots.
With this acquisition, the acquisition by public administrations of all the strengths of the Monteagudo complex is completed, which will allow the value of the existing complex to be valued due to its archaeological, cultural, patrimonial and tourist relevance, making one of the major planned projects a reality. the one of Murcia Islamic, in which it constitutes a fundamental axis Monteagudo and its strengths.
