The City of Murcia creates a Green Schools Network in the municipality to contribute to environmental awareness in schools (15/06/2018)

30 educational centers will be part of this new network to launch projects that turn the center into a more environmentally committed Navarro space: "We invite the municipality's centers to participate in this program, offering them the necessary means. teaching centers in this program make it possible for all this fruit work to be successful "

The Governing Board has approved this morning the creation and constitution of a Network of Green Schools of the municipality of Murcia, with the aim of giving a boost to this project and implementing this network, providing more tools and services for schools.

The City of Murcia, from the Department of the Environment and through the program "Murcia, ecology of a city", will collaborate with the integration in the life of the schools of the municipality to contribute to environmental awareness and awareness.

"The objective of launching projects that turn the center into a more environmentally committed space has led to the creation of the Green Schools program of the municipality and, with this, the Green Schools Network of the City of Murcia has been created, with which the aim is to boost the educational processes directed towards sustainability and mobilize the educational community around these processes.

We know that environmental education is the key to the future of Murcia, "says Councilman Antonio Navarro.

The Murcia City Council will coordinate the program by making available to the educational centers the human and material resources, as well as the necessary technical advice.

"We invite the municipal centers to participate in this program, offering them the technical support of an environmental educator, the necessary means and the possibility of joining the Network. We know that the involvement of the teaching centers in this program makes it possible for all this fruit work and be a success, "adds Navarro.

This new initiative aims to promote mechanisms for participation, communication and dissemination among the centers of the municipality of Murcia involved in this network, assess and recognize the work done by schools and teachers, facilitate exposure and discussion of experiences developed, analyzing the results achieved and, finally, collect the contributions of the centers and incorporate them into the process of implementing the Network.
