The Municipal Socialist Group and demanded the City Council on July 14, 2017 to enforce the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) the obligation to have activity licenses for their buildings.

Then, Enrique Ayuso said that most of the 12 buildings in the southern area of ​​the campus located in the district of Guadalupe were built in the vicinity of the Monastery of Los Jerónimos without municipal authorization, on land of protected and undeveloped garden and also He said that the San Antonio Foundation had requested for part of them the exceptional authorization for public interest.

"The Department of Urbanism has informed the Socialist Group that only two buildings in the south have requested an activity license, while another ten are open and without a license," said Ayuso less than a year ago.

Therefore, the PSOE would submit a formal request to the City Council to immediately regulate this situation and requiring the owner of the activity, which is the San Antonio Foundation, compliance with the Act, as well as to adopt the necessary measures to guarantee the security in their facilities or the legislation will be applied in case it was not being done.

After what was published today in the newspaper La Verdad, with the councilor for Urban Planning, Environment, Water and Kitchen Garden, Antonio Navarro, confirming that the UCAM has eight buildings without a license and pointing out that the City Council has opened sanction proceedings for such circumstance, Enrique Ayuso He recalled that "the Municipal Group and the Socialist Executive have already denounced this situation of illegality that the City Council now recognizes."

Therefore, the mayor of the PSOE has called for "regularize the situation immediately because it is generating great insecurity in those who use these facilities on a daily basis."
