The Plenary has approved the financing of 14 million euros to implement 51 projects in as many districts of the municipality.
These actions are demanded and requested by the municipal boards and are part of the PP and PSOE agreement that allowed the approval of the City Council Budget 2017, as explained by the Councilor for Finance, Contracting and Urban Mobility, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva.
The majority are works destined to complete the network of municipal centers.
Specifically, in 13 districts will be carried out the construction or expansion of municipal facilities.
Likewise, the list of agreed projects includes 13 actions for the improvement of infrastructures and public services, either by paving, paving, sidewalks or, even, a new bridge over Aljufía.
In 11 localities will be carried out works of improvement or construction of sports facilities, especially the cover of tracks in schools, while in 5 districts is planned to build gardens and in 3 the investment will go to the habilitation of study rooms and libraries.
The 14 million euros are completed with other works in senior centers and clinics.
Repairs at the Palace of Sports
On the other hand, the Plenary has also given the green light to the file to finance another 11 projects amounting to 1,705,412 euros.
These are funds included in the loan arranged in December 2017 to finance investments that had not been applied to any project.
In this relation there is a budget of 525,000 euros to carry out repairs at the Palacio de los Deportes.
With these funds, the consolidation of the external staircases, the action in the faecal evacuation network, the demolition of the stone cladding, the repair of the pillars, the cement base and its mono-layer finish, will be undertaken. scaffolding, security and waste management.
Other planned actions are:
Integral construction of underground containers on public roads: € 100,000
Pipe, replacement paving, roads, sidewalks and other investments: € 110,000
Replacement pavements, sidewalks, roadways and others, Murcia: € 75,000
Renovation and remodeling of roads, sidewalks, squares and other infrastructures, Murcia: € 75,000
Rehabilitation tower Falcón de Espinardo: € 50,000
Rehabilitation of historic buildings in various districts: € 50,000
Construction of new cycle routes in several districts: € 100,000
Rehabilitation of bike lanes in the municipality: € 150,000
Extension of the local office in Churra: € 200,000
Construction of changing rooms, installation of artificial turf, irrigation and closing in various soccer fields (among them, pending amounts in the soccer fields of San José de la Vega and Los Ramos): 270,000 €
