José Ballesta visits this infrastructure, which has been opened today to pedestrian traffic, after the installation of a new non-slip floor and the integral improvement of the bridge structure.
The neighbors have transferred to the mayor his satisfaction for the improvements made, which were considered very necessary by the frequent falls and slips that occurred with the previous surface.
The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, visited the bridge that connects the neighborhoods of Vistabella and El Infante, after the improvement works carried out.
This infrastructure, which today has been opened to pedestrian traffic, is now 100% accessible, allowing the safe passage of elderly people, children and wheelchairs, after the new anti-slip floor installed by the City Council, who has also made a set-up integral of the bridge structure.

"This bridge, unites two of the most popular and beloved neighborhoods of Murcia, such as Vistabella and El Infante, has undergone an intense process of rehabilitation in recent weeks to avoid the problems that had arisen - structurally, fundamentally - due to the glass floor that caused slips and falls, which has been replaced by an anti-slip resin floor that contributes to form a much more solid structure, since all its structural elements have also been reinforced, so that it continues to provide its service to the neighbors for many more years, "said José Ballesta.
The set-up of the catwalk has involved an investment of close to 150,000 euros, which have been financed by the maintenance contract for the city's public thoroughfare.
