The plan of extraordinary cleaning actions in districts has ended after several days of work in six districts of the municipality that, for different reasons, have had a special influx of people for the celebration of events.

The Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, explained that "these are specific actions, included within the annual clean-up schedule, which have had an important human and infrastructure deployment, reaching 40 workers who have carried carried out tasks of cleaning, disinfection, clearing, collection of equipment to improve the state of roads and the environment of many districts and ensure the welfare of their neighbors.

In particular, intensive work has been carried out in the area of ​​La Murta, on the occasion of the beginning of its patron saint festivities, in Lobosillo, after the realization of multitudinous activities during the weekend, in Sangonera la Seca the environment of The Church in La Alberca has cleaned and disinfected the areas with the highest youth concentration, as well as in Puente Tocinos and El Palmar.

Noteworthy is also the special cleaning performed on the occasion of the pilgrimage of the Virgen de la Fuensanta last Tuesday, to adapt the passage of the thousands of people who accompanied the Patron of the City of Murcia, as well as their access to the Sanctuary.

Ladders, containers and litter bins were cleaned, as well as the benches and shadow areas of the route.

These works of adaptation of the roads have consisted, mainly, in the application of sweepers, hidrolimpieza and scrubbing of pavements in detail.

To this end, the entire surface of the action areas is cleaned, with special detail in corners and singular areas normally contaminated by liquid residues.

To this end, special products suitable for the cleaning of degreasing and deodorizing agents have been used.

To this have been added brushcutters and open-box trucks that have allowed the cleaning of the road environment and the collection of equipment deposited in places without permission.
