Directors of Chairs of the Catholic University of Murcia, together with representatives of companies have met this week at the First Meeting of University-Company Chairs organized by the university institution, with the aim of establishing synergies between the business and academic fields and promoting new projects and in which the Research Methodological Support Unit (UAMI) has announced.

"It is about sharing our ideas to collaborate with companies and that they tell us the success stories they are developing with the university" - says Estrella Núñez, Vice Chancellor of Research at UCAM - since it is necessary for companies to have a sustainable development, enhance internationalization and innovation, which goes hand in hand with research.

Unit of Methodological Support for Research

The Vice Chancellor has advanced the implementation of the Research Methodological Support Unit (UAMI) of the UCAM, which will provide advice in the methodological design of research projects, in the selection, data analysis, statistical treatment and procurement dissemination of results.

For his part, Luis Tejada, director of the Office of Transfer of Research Results (OTRI), has reviewed the different types of activities that can be developed in the field of University-Business Chairs: research projects, scientific or training courses of business interest.

The meeting was also attended by Victor Meseguer, director of the CSR Chair of the UCAM, who stressed that "we work to make research an element that solves real problems of the business community, that is to investigate for real."

During the event, newly created chairs have been presented, such as Innovation in the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Industry, Freskh;

Primafrio of Innovation in the transport and the logistics;

the Responsible Agro-alimentary Systems, Camposeven;

the Optomic Equilibrium Chair;

Hefame Foundation and the Chair of Ozone Therapy and Chronic Pain.

In the same way, some of the success stories in the field of University-Business Chairs such as Sustainable Development, AMC: RIS3MUR Project, E-Sports, Entrepreneurship in the Agri-Food Sector or UCAM-Bank have been announced. of Santander.
