The Autonomous Community has awarded to the University of Murcia (UMU) the Innovation Award in Administration for the "Clara" project, which implements an open system of acquisition of minor expenditure in the Applied ICT Area of the educational institution (ATICA ).
The project is an innovative web and mobile application that provides total, absolute and immediate transparency in the purchase of all minor expenses (less than € 18,000) made in ATICA in the last year.
In addition, the application facilitates the search of suppliers, at the same time that it favors the competition and optimizes the time dedicated to the management of the expense of teachers and researchers.
The UMU will extend this system, easily implemented in any other public administration, to all its centralized units and to any faculties and departments that wish to use it, within the transparency policy of the current rectoral team.
The prize was collected by the Vice-Rector of Coordination and Internationalization, Bernardo Cascales, during an event presided over by the president of the autonomous government, Fernando López Miras.
Likewise, the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration has convened the IV edition of these awards for Innovation and Good Practices, which can be attended by public universities in the Region, its administrative units and its dependent or linked entities.
The deadline for submission of applications will be one month, counting from the day after the publication in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia.
