Social Rights increases spending for the centers of Barriomar, Beniaján and Cabezo de Torres by 400,000 euros annually, allowing to increase the hours of dedication of health care professionals.
The Contracting Bureau has admitted nine offers submitted to offer this service for two years, with a bid price of 3 million euros.
The City Council of Murcia, through the Department of Social Rights, directed by Conchita Ruiz, will allocate 3 million euros to offer the best attention to users of day centers in Barriomar, Cabezo de Torres and Beniaján.
The contract, which will be awarded for a period of 2 years, has interested nine companies, whose offers has opened today the Bureau of Contracts chaired by Eduardo Martinez-Oliva and with the presence of technicians and representatives of municipal groups.
The improvements introduced by this service will be possible after a 51% increase in the bid price compared to the previous contract.
Thus, the center of Cabezo de Torres, which serves 30 users, will have an annual budget of 362,000 euros (41% more than in the previous award), while Beniaján, with 40 users, will have 522,000 euros (55% more) And Barriomar, with 30 users, 362,000 euros (55% more).
This increased provision will make possible a substantial improvement in care for the 100 elderly and dependents of these centers, resulting from an increase in the number of weekly hours of dedication of all the direct socio-health care professionals (physiotherapist, social worker, psychologist, ATS / DUE, nursing assistants and occupational therapist).
Another novelty is the introduction of improvements in the maintenance service - breakfast, lunch and snack - to make it attractive, appetizing and of the highest quality for the beneficiaries.
