The City Museum is hosting this weekend's workshop introduction to the historical interpretation for stringed instruments promoted by the Department of Culture of the University of Murcia and that will give the baroque violinist Daniel Pinteño.

In this workshop, which is free, participants will receive theoretical and practical training on the interpretation of Baroque music according to historical criteria and using original period instruments.

The conference will be attended by musicians from throughout the region and neighboring provinces like Alicante, Albacete, Granada and Almeria.

During the course of the workshop the students will have a first contact to work with period instruments (baroque arches, historical instruments, gut strings) and know the basic stylistic patterns that have made early music in one of the most requested by the international audiences.

Daniel Pinteño is a Murcian baroque violinist after studying baroque violin at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Toulouse (France) with Swiss violinist Gilles Colliard, as well as the Madrid Royal Conservatory with Professor Hiro Kurosaki, develops its intense artistic work leading Concerto 1700 and working with different orchestras and music formations European historicist camera as Form Antiqva, Al Ayre Spanish, La Ritirata, the Royal Chapel of Madrid, Haydn Sinfonietta Wien, Harmonia of Parnas, Nereydas, Iberian Concerto between others.

This workshop also conclude with an open and public demonstration class workshop where students can show their work during the weekend and Professor Daniel Pinteño explain the particularities of the Baroque stringed instruments.
