Councilman Let's change Murcia Nacho Tornel has raised today the need to establish an agreement between the City and the Salzillo Museum to define what kind of collaboration, including sources of funding and human and material resources can be offered from municipal authorities to address the situation precariousness of this cultural institution.
Tornel understands the need to join efforts to preserve the heritage and, in this sense, the work of sculptor Salzillo is a fundamental part.
However, this cooperation should be based on a rigorous analysis of the real needs of the museum, its tracks current funding and collaboration that is currently holding the Consistory.
Therefore, the municipalist training proposed to Parliament next Monday along with PSOE, Citizens and now Murcia, a motion for the creation of a group of specific and temporary work engaged, inter alia, to clarify the current relationship between the City Hall, part of the Board Salzillo Museum, and the Museum itself.
Currently, the lack of transparency in the management of the institution is demonstrated by the lack of access to annual reports and minutes of the Board meetings.
The joint motion also proposes measures to facilitate urban type access to the museum and municipal activities of cultural and educational promotion.
